I’m S.A. Stephenson (Sally-Annabelle), an Amazon-bestseller dystopian writer
My books are a blend of dystopia and paranormal, set in the near-future. I feature strong women in my books that also represent women who belong to the LGBTQ+ community. I am a proud member of this community and want my work to showcase equality and understanding.
I’ve always loved reading since a child, and have been writing since I was young. My aunt taught me how to type using Mrs. Beacon typewriting courses and as soon as I discovered word processing, I was writing short stories. I’ve been writing manuscript length stories since a teenager and am now venturing into the publishing world with my writing.
I have a degree in American Studies, and my interest in history and politics have woven themselves into my writing, with my first series answering the question ‘what would happen if Trump became President and the world became a dystopian reality’, I like asking ‘what-if’ questions and seeing where my answers take me.
I have been residing in Auckland, New Zealand for the past five years. I’m a crazy-cat lady and also am a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community.
S.A. Stephenson is an award-winning short story writer and author of the Eden Gene series. Her books weave together strong female characters, science-fiction and character-driven stories. Sally currently lives in Leeds, and is a member of the New Zealand Society of Authors.
